We are a small breeder of English type Golden Retrievers. Our dogs and puppies live and grow up inside our home with myself & my two children. Each dog’s amazing, Champion packed pedigree, can be seen on each individual page. We have just over two acres fenced in for our dogs to play, many dog friendly lakes within a few minutes of our home, and the absolute love of this breed above all else! We are located in Interlochen, Michigan.
Hearts of Gold Retrievers is committed to a breeding program that concentrates on health, temperament and characteristics consistent with the AKC Golden Retriever Breeder Standard. We produce beautifully structured golden retriever puppies for sale that have a calm and intelligent temperament and a strong, genetically sound background. They have potential to succeed in the conformation ring, obedience, agility, therapy, K-9 rescue, hunters in the field, and most importantly as being a beloved friend and family member who just wants to curl up in your lap and give love.
My goal is to educate those persons interested in acquiring a pet about the importance of the breeder and the important role they have in making sure all puppies are the best they can possibly be and the homes they go to are the same.
We adopted our first Golden Retriever in 1994, our beloved Brittany, at the time we had very little knowledge of the breed, but soon fell in love. She came from a “backyard breeder” although AKC registered we soon learned what that meant. At the age of three, Brittany was plagued with many serious medical problems. We lost her in 1998. Because we were active duty Air Force, and moved around frequently, we decided we would wait until we were retired and settled before we would get another dog.
