We have a very cozy home filled with kids, dogs and lots of love. We are blessed with four wonderful boys all of whom are very active with the dogs, love to compete in sports and have many, many recreation hobbies. Our involvement with dogs in competition spans over three generations.
Quality, healthy and happy puppies are our top priority. We know how precious our canine friends are to us and we want to insure that only the best leave the nest to become a part of your family. We follow a veterinarian recommended health program so that our puppies’ leave in great health from our home to yours. We spend many hours with our puppies right from birth. It is important that our puppies feel safe and secure being handled and begin a very early bonding process to insure a social puppy.
As a breeder of over twenty litters, I am hooked on producing the very best Golden Retrievers I can, for myself to work and to play with, and for other dog lovers as well. My goal is to produce sound quality Goldens for Performance & Hunting Homes – though a few may go to active pet homes as well.
Heritage is steadfast in our determination to breed happy, healthy Goldens where our breeding program pays as much attention to family companions as our show dogs. Heritage’s goal is to produce Goldens that are wonderful representatives of the breed, whether involved in competition or as a loved family pet. At Risa’s Goldens, we continue to have an occasional litter of full English Creme Goldens. We also cross our American females with our English males for an English/American cross that we feel is a “best of both” combination. Our breeding dogs have hip, elbow, cardiac, and eye health clearances as well as top quality champion show bloodlines.
