All of our Golden Retrievers at Southwind Kennels are house dogs. While they spend most of their time
playing in the fields and woods which surround our home, several of our Golden Retrievers are Therapy
Dogs. Some of the Goldens hunt, are learning to Track and others show in Obedience competitions. Our
dogs are multi talented excelling in obedience and fieldwork, while some think they should only be
required to lounge around all day and look pretty!
Raised in a loving family environment, our puppies have great temperaments. Our puppies are well socialized and great with children of all ages. We have two dogs we are currently breeding. Maggie and Mazy. Both are three years old and have good to excellent hip certifications. Maggie is a beautiful red golden and Mazy is a stunning english cream golden. We decided to stay mostly with the Russian Lines as they had the look, temperament, Champion Lines and were happy and healthy. To enhance our lines we imported a few Goldens from the Ukraine who also have the same qualities as our other English Goldens. Our Goldens have had extensive testing done. OFA Certificates for hips, elbows, and eyes. Heart, and Patella Clearances.
