The journey for Sunnyside Golden Retrievers began in 1978 with McClung’s Golden Lady Molly. All of their dogs have been temperament tested and are registered Therapy Dogs. One dog is currently working with a Search and Rescue team in NY and another with the Ohio K9 Search and Rescue team. All of their dogs have been temperament tested and are registered Therapy Dogs. Our mission is to produce what we consider a genuine Golden Retriever: the ultimate family dog with great bone structure, a blocky head, and a beautiful coat, who will live for many, many years as part of your family. We offer AKC Golden Retriever puppies at reasonable prices that the average American family can afford.
Spirit Golden Retrievers was established in 2004 with Logan, our first English Golden. It is our real pleasure to be able to share our home with these beautiful animals. Princess grew into a dark beauty who was a constant companion to me and my siblings. Whether in the yard, the creek, or the woods, Princess was a constant in our young impressionable lives. And what an impression she left in her wake! My sister and my brother are also proud owners of Golden Retrievers, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Sires are champions of the highest quality, with honorifics. Our Champion Sired Females are gentle beauties raised in our home along with their puppies.

I first met Robert in 2015, when I asked him if I could stop by and take some photos of his prize Golden Retriever sire, Pudgey. Immediately, I realized there was something outstanding about Robert and his family, who’ve been breeding Goldens for over 15 years. They were sincerely passionate about the breed, and about their dogs in particular.
